Instructions

To each slice of bread, spread 1 tbsp. of butter on one side; flip each side over. Next, on each slice, layer 1 tbsp. of pumpkin butter or pumpkin purée and 1/4 cup of shredded gruyère cheese. To one slice only, add sliced apples. Carefully, combine the slices so that each buttered side is facing outwards.

Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add sandwich, cooking until one side is golden brown. Flip and repeat on the other side; pressing down on the sandwich with a spatula may help the cheese melt faster!

Remove from heat, slice & cry of cheesy-appley goodness 🍎
